with that said, another good foodie weekend! Its funny to me, because these are places that i've been too numerous amounts of times, but never took the time to really appreciate how good these places really are. i found myself laughing a lot of times of me taking pictures at the dishes, or vice versa.
Friday, my long lost friend (well cause she was on vacay) nell came back from ME-HE-CO! ayayyayayyaya...hahha
pinged me on gchat and we decided to eat at our favorite sussseee (sushi) miyabi's! yummmmmmm. and for some reason whenever i go with nell or nick or both of them the restaurant hooks it up big time! they VIP over there. hehehe
our fav's? the church roll, mango and asparagus (dont knock it till you try it), and the california roll with fresh salmon on the outside and a little sliver of lemon. soooo yummmy. Our favorite waitress Minnie (i shoulda took a pic of her now that i think of it) always hooks us up automatically with, miso soup, wakame salad (seaweed), green salad (with their yummy dressing), mussels with this cocktail sauce thingy, edamame, and their bomb ass gyoza!
I think next time we go, we're gonna order the Hamachi Kama. Its the belly of the fish, and they fry it up. soooo damn good. nick and nell put me onto that...
Me and nell always opt for some fresh fish too, nigiri to be exact, cause their fish is always bomb as well. if you havent been here, you mos def have to try! =D

saturday rolled around, and got to go to a free show @ Dolores park where goapele, the jacka and even clyde carson showed up!....it was cold, and the sound kinda sucked, but goapele still rocked it! and they sang one of my favorite songs! couldnt have asked for a better free show! thanks Mark! =D
afterwards, headed out to vallejo for Rozzie's bday. I didnt get a pic with the birthday girl, but i did get to play with elyssa. she's sooo cute. she was kinda fussy, and i got all nervous, but i did get a couple of really cute pics with mama and baby! sooo effing cute!mae made these bomb ass enchiladas, which i had no idea she was so good at. but it was deleeesssh...yummm...i forgot a pic, but i'll make sure to take one next time. =D

sunday funday rolled around, and i have to say that i love spending sundays in the city. I dunno what it is. whether its the fact that people are out, but not in a hurry. the vibe around the city is just a nice, chill vibe and i love being apart of it.Met up with mel, and i finally got to get some FISH TACOS! yummmm! Disclaimer - this is not my preferred choice for carne asada, or pollo asada, that is probably a whole other blog post. But for specifically fish tacos...nick's is mos def my #1 spot. of course until some where else proves me wrong. They give you a massive amount of fried fish, and the crema sauce they use on the taco is BOMB. make sure you order the pescado taco, nick's way. if not you will regret it! heheh not to mention the chips with salsa and guac, is one for the record books. Just super fresh ingredients put together well, just a good FISH taco place to go.

Mel was dying to go get her phil'z coffee...it was deleeessh. i have to admit. but once my mind was on fro-yo it was over. honestly, me and nicole go back an forth about fro-yo, but we have both come to conclusion that blush is probably the best in the city. soooo yummy. i got my usual. kiwi, strawberry and dark chocolate chips. if they had carrob, that would be my first choice.
