me and the sistren got to hit up the nas and damien marley concert on tuesday. thanks nell and lea! soo awesome...being the paranoid dumb ass, i leave my camera in the car for fear that they might not let me take it in. FAIL! i love fox theater in oakland too (click the link if you wanna see)...it was soo nice in there! but whateves...i'll get pics of it eventually...LOL
before hand tho, met up with nan at her house an got to hang out with Kai and auntie while we watched some wheel of fortune. Nani made these bomb ass pineapple upside down mini cupcakes. I seriously have to say that nani is probably one of the best pastry chefs i know. they were so good! and we even went up to have a couple more before we left for the nite! Nell's lucky ass was able to sneak a bag to take home to nick! jealous!

wednesday came and went, but yesterday, thursday, me and lea made plans to go to din din. It was actually a somewhat nice day, and the rain clouds parted ways a little bit earlier in the east bay than the city, so i decided to trek out there after work. I have been seriously craving pizza ever since my godmama, terry, emailed about the top pizza places in the city by sunset magainze. So i suggested zachery's. Lea's not the biggest fan, so we tried to go to Angeline's (best ribs in the bay till i get proven otherwise)...but the wait was packed as usual, and i was starving. After a couple of minutes going back and forth. guess where we end up?

I think this place is the most under-rated place in the bay. the service is somewhat lacking, but come on what chinese place isnt? i honestly think they have the best walnut prawns too. crunchy, not to mayo-ey and huge! i love them. they also have a great assortment of fried rice. we got the bbq pork fried rice that nite, but the salted fish fried rice, and the beef fried rice is probably my fav's.
Other fav's include, porkchop with fried garlic, and the wor won ton soup.

Another great reason to go to Daimo? Just Yougurt! Honestly, if this place was closer to me, (meaning in the city) i would probably go a whole LOT. it is sooooo yummy! their fro-yo is tart of course, and its a self serve place. but it super cheap, and the tartness is jus the right tartness. the consistency has gotten better, (used to melt fast) and they always have a good assortment of toppings. If your ever in richmond, and near the pacific east mall, and like fro-yo, you should definitely check it out! yummmmmmm! i want some now!
