what a weekend...putting my new camera to use!

so for my bday, my gracious brother, totally unexpectadley got me a camera! how awesome is that! i gotta step my gift game up and get him something nice for xmas....

yes that's my new camera...but in black...its so awesome, i got a case for it, a freaking expensive case at that...and i jus started snapping away! this weekend didnt really do a lot except for the normal. EAT! so i decided that im going to start documenting all the delicious food that i come across and put it in the blog! since my blog wasnt getting a lot of love, i decided what way to show it more love than to start posting pics! think of it as a renewal of some sorts...=D

First of the month is always a little, shall we say challenging for me, financially, in that its mortgage time. so this weekend my friend lea so graciously invited me over for casserole!!!

i loooovve cassarole...for those of you who dont do it as often, it basically when you throw tons of shit into a pot add cheese and cream, and lots of fresh herbs and voila! cassarole! Lea made a bomb veggie one, (which we started awhile back) and can i jus say it was bomb biggity! wheeeew...and to top it all off, there was bacon on top! yummmmmy! soooo deleesh! pic for you pleasure - there was let's see if i can get it all, spinach, asparagus, mushrooms, potato medley, bell peppers, corn, fresh sage, onions garlic and probably some other sheit...but lemme jus say...well done lea, well done!

Saturday rolled around and crass hit me up and asked if i wanted to go with her downtown. i was chillen, so why not.

little did i know that we would be walking into burger heaven, and i finally got to try the infamous Burger Bar. this place is a little on the pricy side for burgers, but can i say it was bomb! yes the milkshake were $7. but the nutella milkshake was on point! i settled for good ole chocolate but crass' nutella was mos def a repeat i would get. i got just a plain old bacon cheese burger, but it was bomb! and the onion rings...bomb.com as well.

think my eating stopped there? oh no it didn't! hahhaha little did i kno that pep would call me and the sistren up craving osyters! actually he read my mind, cause ever since, my bday i have been craving the hell outta em! well he sure did deliver! not only deliver, but we got some of the biggest and craziest oysters i've ever seen! hellla barnacles on the outside and they were huge! lea actually opened one up for the first time in her life. they were sooo bomb! pep actually made two really good sauces to go along...i forget what they were called, one was cilantro, lime, patis based....hellla good (i left the leaves of cilantro out of course) and the other was a soy sauce, chilli oil, base...soo bomb i mixed the two together on top of the oyster and boyyyy lemme tell you...my tummy was in heaven!

so you would think that bbq'd oysters would be enough? rite? no not for our heffer asses! LMAO! chef nani had to come correct with bacon wrapped.....wait for it, wait for it....HOT LINKS! yes sir these little bad boys were soo on hit! why wait for the club?? can i just tell you woooo weeee! i'll let the pic speak for itself. equipped with as pep would say CON TODOS! hahaha i didnt have a hot dog pic with the onions and mustard, ketchup and mayo, but you can just imagine.

So you think that would be enough rite? well your wrong! besides the crackin berry dessert that we made (sorry the pic didnt come out good) with sour cream and brown sugar, (you gotta taste it to believe it) ...pep made his famous blondie brownies! the pics dont do it justice but trust these go! chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, pecans, walnuts, butterscotch chips. soooooooo good! they're called blondies cause there isnt any cocoa added to the mix so the brownie comes out white! soooo yummy!

and that's it...not to mention the bomb ass granola i finally go from arizmendi - what a great foodie weekend! i cant wait till next weekend! till then!
